No limit compared to limit Hold Em
One of the most intriguing parts of poker strategy for me is the difference between playing Limit Hold Em and No Limit Hold Em. The game is the same, the same rules, but appropriate to play games between the two is very different to the point where the really good players in a game have difficulty adapting to another play.
Many of the most successful no limit players are very conservative, especially in the hands that their departure. It is a good strategy for no limit Hold Em, because when you have a very strong hand, you can get a lot of chips even two to four times your entire stack chips. In limit Hold Em is not the case. Because of the structure betting it is more difficult to bluff limit Hold Em, and there will not be much to double up, unless you are very short stack.
A good no limit Hold Em player is selective on the hands, because each part can be for all the chips. A good player limit box with fewer hands more often because they know the bets with limited catching large hands to pay for the additional stores. This does not mean you play like rubbish off 2.7 prosecution, but the hands are not hard to appeal to any limit (J-9 off the same) are playable for stores in the limit. For this reason, the transition from no limit to limit Hold Em is much easier for aggressive players who like to see many flops.
Because of the limited number of betting, the position becomes increasingly important. You can not try to fly out of position, bluffing, lifting heavy because your raises are limited. You want to play all the same moderately good hands, you can close to the key position of strength, but fear of the weak position unless you have a very large part. It is also much more difficult to force to Chasers times because they can always just your bet and continue.
This makes it fair to play aggressive every time you play. Ram and jam is the strategy to follow, and there are several reasons for this. For one, making a habit of awareness, other players are more likely to use hands later iffy because you have a reputation to raise the pot. This is the only way to reduce the limit in Chasers, since you can not all go knock on their implementation. The other reason is that you want to build the pot as wide as possible when you get a strong hand, since you have cash to work in. For example, if you have AJ pre-flop, not only does it raise as often as possible, but if you hit a jack on the flop, awareness and keep re-raising.
Since limit Hold Em betting limits, the other thing you find is that players often take a low 2nd pair or AK high the river, or even the most improbable hunting, not realizing how it will cost them in the long term. You want the greatest number of chips in the pot as possible when youre ahead, and the best way to do is limit to collect and re-raise
